Course conducted on Fruit, processing, preservation and entrepreneurship by
Department of Botany

Department of Botany organized certificate
distribution program for the students who were enrolled for certificate course
in fruit processing, preservation and entrepreneurship (2017-2018).
The program was initiated by invoking
the blessing of Almighty Allah. - One of the best methods practiced by the
college. Maaz Riyaz Shaikh- recited
a few verses from Surah-Rehman, which explains us the innumerable bounties
Allah has bestowed upon mankind.
Indeed all praise is for the Lord.
Dr (Mrs.) Aafreen.A.Ahmed- gave a brief
introduction of the program and how students were benefitted by the course.
Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar and Vice
Principal Prof. Iqbal Shaikh sir
were felicitated with Orchid plants- (exotics) on behalf of the department.
Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh expressed
his valuable comments, making himself more active to interact with the
students. He made himself one among them and like them. A perfect act of an
education facilitator. Few students shared their experiences, as to how the
course has helped them. With a positive view that homemade processed fruits are
healthier as compared to artificially flavored ones.
This was followed by Distribution of
Certificate.
1)
Rumaan
S. Haque was felicitated with a certificate and cash prize
for standing first in the subject of Botany at the F.Y.B.Sc level by the hands
of the Principal.
2)
Rahwaan
S. Haque was felicitated with a certificate and cash prize
for standing second in the subject of Botany at the F.Y.B.Sc level by the hands
of Vice Principal.
3)
Saba
Kausar was felicitated with a certificate and cash prize
for standing third in the subject of Botany by the hands of, Head department of
Botany, Mrs. Shaikh Meherunisa.
The other staff Dr. Rafik Shaikh handed over the certificate to few students, Dr. Aafreen Ahmed, Dr. Shafikh Shaikh
and Miss Nabila Shaikh also handed
over the certificate to the remaining students
Miss
Nabila Shaikh- Proposed vote of thanks on behalf of Y&M AKI’s Management, Principal, Vice
Principal and the staff for their active involvement during the course.
The overall feedback
of the students was, the course conduction was excellent and the program
organized was good.
