Department of Botany organized an activity to set up college medicinal garden. This activity was conducted  with the help of T.Y.B.Sc Botany students in presence of Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh. Students were provided with garden equipment to carry out the plantation process. Two students adopted single plant for plantation and further care. The objective was to make students identify medicinal plants correctly.

Total 16 students took part in the activity and they were guided by Dr. Shafikh Shaikh and Miss Nabila Shaikh. Some ornamental plants were also planted at the entrance gate. Students have also removed unwanted grass from horticulture garden.

Health, Hygiene and Nutrition Drive by T.Y. B.Sc. Botany Students At Tayyabia Orphanage, Pune

DEPARTMENT OF BOTANY Department of Botany, AKI’s Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Camp, Pune organized an awareness program on ‘Health, Hygiene and Nutrition’ at Tayyabia Orphanage, Camp, Pune on 7 th January, 2018 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. The Program was started by recitation of few verses from the Holy Quran by Mr. Zaid Shaikh. The inauguration was done by Vice Principal Prof. Iqbal Shaikh of our college. Mr. Wahid Biyabani, Head Master of School of Tayyabia Orphanage and Dr. Mujeeb Shaikh were also a part of it.
